Armenia joins Eurasian Economic Union

The policies of the Armenian authorities threaten Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, stated Robert Kocharyan, leader of the opposition bloc "Armenia," and second President of the Republic of Armenia.

The total number of Armenian citizens included in the RA electoral register is 2,482,872, according to the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The international human rights organization Freedom House published its annual report, "Freedom in the World 2026: Autocracy's Growing Shadow," in which Armenia was again classified as "partly free."

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that, despite the lack of a signed peace treaty with Azerbaijan, there is already de facto peace between the two countries.
