Armenia not going to sever economic ties with Russia and EAEU - Pashinyan
YEREVAN, September 18 /ARKA/. Armenia does not intend to sever economic ties with Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), announced today Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, the country is working with partners from the European Union (EU) and the US to diversify the economy.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that Armenia will not miss a real opportunity to become a member of the EU if it sees the opportunity.
"If we see more or less realistic opportunity to become a full member of the EU, including keeping the risks that may arise along this way manageable, then we will definitely not miss this opportunity," he said at the Second Pan-Armenian Summit.
On September 11, the Central Election Commission of Armenia approved the application of 51 citizens to register a civil initiative that intends to organize the collection of signatures for the country’s accession to the EU. -0-
