Armenia is recalling its ambassador to Israel for consultations, spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdlayan said at a press briefing on Thursday.
YEREVAN, October 2. /ARКА/. Armenia is recalling its ambassador to Israel for consultations, spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan said at a press briefing on Thursday.
Earlier reports said that several Azerbaijani planes landed in Israel to take aboard new batches of Israeli-made weapons.
Azerbaijan’s military deployed Israeli-made drones against Armenian forces during the heavy fighting against Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Naturally, Israel's supply of ultra-modern weapons to Azerbaijan is unacceptable for us. Through diplomatic channels, we have repeatedly conveyed this to our Israeli colleagues and noted that it is especially regrettable at a time when Azerbaijan, with the support of Turkey, is carrying out large-scale aggression against Artsakh and Armenia,” she said.
Naghdalyan noted that instead of adding her voice to the calls to cease hostilities, the Israeli side continues to supply weapons to Azerbaijan.
“This position of Israel, this method of doing business is unacceptable to us, especially during this period. Based on the current situation, the Foreign Ministry made a decision to recall the Armenian Ambassador to Israel for consultations, ”she said. -0-
