Armenia receives legislative packages needed to bring its legislation in conformity with customs union requirements

Armenia’s ministry of justice and other government agencies have received legislative packages which they need to revise Armenia’s legislation and bring it in conformity with the requirements of the Customs Union, Vardan Ayvazyan, chairman of a parliament committee on economic affairs, said today.

Armenia’s ministry of justice and other government agencies have received legislative packages which they need to revise Armenia’s legislation and bring it in conformity with the requirements of the Customs Union, Vardan Ayvazyan, chairman of a parliament committee on economic affairs, said today.
Speaking about the benefits Armenia would receive after joining the Russia-led Union Ayvazyan said after becoming a member of the union Armenia would be able ‘to trade with its members countries as enterprises do located in one country."
He said a common model of customs administration will be applied, the same which is used in Belarus and Kazakhstan.
However, Ayvazyan said he did not think Armenia would be able to get prepared to join the Customs Union in 2014. -0-
