YEREVAN, February 10. /ARKA/. Russian-Armenian inter-agency consultations on information security were held in Yerevan, the Russian Security Council said.

The Russian delegation was headed by Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Oleg Khramov. It included representatives of the Security Council Staff, Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, Information Ministry, Ministry of Justice, Federal Security Service and Prosecutor General's Office.

The Armenian delegation headed by Chief of Staff of the Security Council Hayk Petrosyan included representatives of the Security Council Staff, Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, National Security Service, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Hi-Tech Industry, General Prosecutor's Office and the Office for the Implementation of Electronic Government Infrastructure.

During the consultations substantive exchange of views on the whole range of issues of Russian-Armenian cooperation in the field of information security at international and regional levels, as well as in bilateral format took place.

A detailed exchange of views was held on the results of the first substantive session of the UN Open-ended Working Group on ICT 2021-2025. The urgency of strengthening international cooperation in combating information crime was stressed.

The importance of stepping up efforts to ensure information security within the CIS, the CSTO, and the OSCE was confirmed.

As a result of consultations, a draft bilateral intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of information security was agreed upon. -0-
