Armenia’s defense minister Seyran Ohanian downplayed today Azerbaijani’s war rhetoric saying Armenian troops are more efficient and capable of neutralizing Azerbaijani armed forces although they have more active troops.
YEREVAN, October 7. / ARKA /. Armenia’s defense minister Seyran Ohanian downplayed today Azerbaijani’s war rhetoric saying Armenian troops are more efficient and capable of neutralizing Azerbaijani armed forces although they have more active troops.
The Karabakh-born general, who participated in the 1991-1994 war with Azerbaijan, recalled that during the war the enemy had a significant advantage in terms of troop’s number, but that did not help it.
"Today the difference in terms of the number of active troops is large, but in terms of efficiency and combat-readiness our armed forces are much more superior,» said Ohanian when talking to reporters.
In this sense the minister stressed the importance of military-patriotic education saying the people must always be ready to stand next to the army to defend the country, which will make it easier to neutralize the quantitative advantage of the enemy. .-0-
