Armenia’s first president and IMF Armenia head discussed situation in the country

The first president of Armenia, a leader of the oppositional Armenian National Congress, Levon Ter-Petrosyan had a meeting Wednesday with IMF Armenia Chief Мark Horton and IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Guillermo Tolosa, the Congress reported to ARKA.

YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. The first president of Armenia, a leader of the oppositional Armenian National Congress, Levon Ter-Petrosyan had a meeting Wednesday with IMF Armenia Chief Мark Horton and IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Guillermo Tolosa, the Congress reported to ARKA.
“Upon the guests’ request, Mr. Ter-Petrosyan expanded upon the political atmosphere in Armenia following May 6 parliamentary election, the current situation, economic and social challenges, corruption, migration, and absence of legitimate and independent courts,” according to the source.
During the meeting the sides also discussed the perspectives of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
ANC Central Office Representative Avetis Avagyan was also present at the meeting. —0-
