Armenia’s FM to visit International Organization of Francophonie summit in Congo

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan will visit the forum of Foreign Ministers and International Organization of the Francophonie in Democratic Republic of the Congo, October 11-14, Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry reports.
YEREVAN, October 11. /ARKA/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan will visit the forum of Foreign Ministers and International Organization of the Francophonie in Democratic Republic of the Congo, October 11-14, Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry reports.
Today OIF embraces 56 members from different countries, and 14 observers. Ukraine and Baltic states are observers, whereas Armenia is an associate member. The International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) was launched March 20, 1970 in the capital city of Niamey, Niger, where the agreement was signed establishing the first inter-state organization of French-speaking countries.
Armenia was granted the status of associate member of the OIF in October 2008.-0-
