YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. By using propaganda to foster animosity towards Armenians among his people, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev paves way for new aggression against Armenia, the former Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan said on Monday.

“There is a difference between how the Azerbaijani president addresses the people in Azerbaijan and elsewhere. His rhetoric for the domestic audience is of very aggressive and hostile nature,” Tatoyan said.

Tatoyan believes Aliyev’s claims that Azerbaijan seeks peace are false and misleading.

Ilham Aliyev earlier said that amendments to Armenia's Constitution are prerequisite for the peace treaty between the two countries.

Washington ready to work with Yerevan and Baku in any format to ensure progress between the sides

The United States of America is ready to work with both Armenia and Azerbaijan in any format that can ensure progress for the sides, the US State Department said in a statement.
