YEREVAN, March 28. /ARKA/. Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of measures to help ethnic Armenians in Syria, after the situation aggravated at Syria-Turkey border recently.
Having violated the international law Turkey opened a fire at Armenian-populated villages in Kessab and let the rebellions take over the region recently.
The premier said the society should be informed about the government’s measures to help solve problems of ethnic Armenian in Syria. The allegations that the government ignores the issue are false, Sargsyan said.
Thousands of ethnic Armenians live in Kessab that is located at the border between Syria and Turkey. The large Armenian community of the region had its community and party organizations, schools and hospitals. –0--
