Armenia's parliament to hold hearing on potential EU bid referendum

YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. The National Assembly of Armenia will hold a hearing on a potential referendum that might take place in the country and decide whether Armenia should submit an application to become a member of the European Union, the parliamentary Committee on European Integration announced on Monday.

The hearing, scheduled for 21 June, is the initiative of an alliance of political parties that are not represented in the parliament, such as the Hanrapetutyun Party, the For The Republic Party, the Christian Democratic Party, and the European Party of Armenia.
