YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. Head of Kuwait-Armenia parliament friendship group Faisal Fahd al-Shayi has invited Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan on behalf of the government of his country to visit Kuwait.

Al-Shayi handed the invitation at his meeting with Abrahamyan in Yerevan on Thursday, the press office of the Armenian government reported.

Al-Shayi said mutual visits will give a renewed impetus to further expansion of cooperation between the countries.

Kuwait is interested in expanding its trade and economic ties with Armenia, enhancing cooperation between industry and commerce chambers and holding business forums in particular, Al-Shayi said.

The Kuwaiti MP said his country is ready to help Armenia build a new residential area, “New Aleppo”, for Syrian Armenians.

Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan, in his turn, stressed the importance of development of Armenia-Kuwait relations and said the government is interested in expansion of trade ties and implementation of investment programs.

“We are ready to create favorable investment climate for Kuwaiti capital”, the premier said.

The sides said potential for cooperation is great in agriculture, industry, tourism and other fields. –0--
