Armenia’s president thanks Russian Ambassador for contribution to allied relationship

Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan received Friday Russian Federation’s ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko who has completed his mission, the presidential press service reported.

YEREVAN, April 29. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan received Friday Russian Federation’s ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko who has completed his mission, the presidential press service reported.
The president expressed his gratitude to the ambassador for his efforts to develop Armenia-Russia strategic allied partnership, according to the report.
The relations between the countries were taken to a new level owing to some 50 meetings between the two presidents and a number of important documents signed, the president said.
Sargsyan expressed Armenia’s interest in further development of the relations.
Kovalenko, in his turn, said he will remain a friend of Armenia and will further contribute to Armenia-Russia friendship.
Ivan Volinkin has been appointed to the post of Russian ambassador to Armenia. -0-
