Armenia’s ruling party to make its mind up about future premier Monday
YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will name the new premier Monday, vice-speaker of the parliament and member of RPA executive body Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters Thursday.

The party has not decided on the candidate yet, Sharmazanov said. The president is holding consultations with political parties, as required by the constitution, he said.

Sharmazanov refrained from saying whether Prosperous Armenia or Dashnaktsutiun parties will be in the ruling coalition and referred the question to the parties.

In response to reporters’ comment that the ten-day constitutional deadline for premier’s appointment will be expired on Monday, Sharmazanov said Sunday is not a working day and, hence, the constitutional requirement is met. –0--
