Armenia, South Korea to make their ties closer

Suren Karayan, Armenian economic development and investments minister, received yesterday Woo Yoon Keun, the newly appointed ambassador of South Korea to Armenia, the ministry’s press office reported on Wednesday.

YEREVAN, March 21. /ARKA/. Suren Karayan, Armenian economic development and investments minister, received yesterday Woo Yoon Keun, the newly appointed ambassador of South Korea to Armenia, the ministry’s press office reported on Wednesday.
The sides voiced satisfaction at the trade turnover between the two countries, but noted that there is still room for expanding the economic cooperation.
They also discussed prospects for cooperation between South Korea and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Suren Karayan and Woo Yoon Keun talked about the steps related to the intergovernmental agreement on promotion of investments.
The economy minister presented the advantages Korean investors may get in Armenia.
Prospects of cooperation in tourism industry were discussed at the meeting as well.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the country’s trade turnover with Korea grew 31.9% to $24.5 million in 2017. -0---
