Armenia submits its 6th proposal of peace agreement to Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. 'Following up Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan's public statement of November 18th to intensify diplomatic efforts to achieve signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, the Armenian side submitted its 6th proposal of the Agreement to Azerbaijani side, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a post on X social network, formerly known as Twitter.

It said Armenia remains committed to concluding and signing a document on normalization of relations with Azerbaijan based on previously announced principles.

Pashinyan announced on November 18 that the three main principles of peace had been agreed upon with Azerbaijan during trilateral meetings (facilitated by European Council president Charles Michel) in Brussels.

He said one of these three principles is a mutual recognition of each other's territorial integrity based on the maps of the USSR General Staff.

The second principle is that the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration, which was signed by all post-Soviet countries, should serve as political basis for the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

The next principle of the peace treaty is to unblock regional communications on the basis of sovereignty and jurisdiction of each side.-0-
