Armenia, Uruguay sign several cooperation agreements

Armenia and Uruguay signed a number of agreements on cooperation in the framework of Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Uruguay, the presidential press office reported.

YEREVAN, July 10. /ARKA/. Armenia and Uruguay signed a number of agreements on cooperation in the framework of Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Uruguay, the presidential press office reported.
In particular, after the meeting of Armenian and Uruguayan presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Jose Mujika the sides signed an agreement about economic cooperation and an agreement about visa-free entry for common passport holders.
The two governments signed also a framework agreement. Another agreement was concluded between Armenia’s ministry of sports and youth affairs and Uruguayan ministry of tourism and sports about cooperation in sports.
The two presidents discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening of inter-state links and development of cooperation. They made a joint statement after their meeting, according to the report.
Sargsyan and Mujika stressed the importance of bilateral visits and regular contacts between the foreign ministries to address issues of mutual interest in an efficient manner. The leaders said it was important to expand the legislation framework.
Armenia’s president is in Uruguay on July 8-10 as part of his South America tour. Sargsyan was in Argentina on July 6-8 and will pay an official visit to Chile on July 10-12. –0--
