YEREVAN, October 21. /ARКА/. A meeting between Alen Simonyan, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, and Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Majlis (parliament), took place on the sidelines of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva.

According to Armenpress, the speakers welcomed the agreements reached in Washington and steps toward normalizing relations.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and expressed their readiness to facilitate the implementation of steps aimed at strengthening trust at the parliamentary level.-0-
