YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. The Armenian Defense Ministry once again announced that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has spread disinformation about alleged shooting on the border.

"The message from the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that allegedly on April 28 at around 00:25, units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions located on the eastern section of the border is not true," the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

The ministry recalled that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed to create a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them. However, Azerbaijan has not yet responded to this proposal.

The Armenian Defense Ministry confirms that, in accordance with the position of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts confirming the statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, upon their transfer to the Armenian side.
