Armenian FM: "There is a historic opportunity to establish peace in South Caucasus"

YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan thinks that there is a historic opportunity to establish peace in the South Caucasus region.
"We see that the new US administration is emphatically interested in advancing the peace agenda in the region. Armenia, together with the US and other international partners, believes that there is a historic opportunity to establish long-term peace in the South Caucasus, and there is a wide open "window" for this," Mirzoyan said in parliament on Thursday during a discussion of the report on the implementation of the Armenian state budget for 2024.
The minister believes that the key point is the process of normalizing relations with Baku. Mirzoyan expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to continue the recent negotiations with Azerbaijan in more detail and specifically.
