YEREVAN, July 23. /ARKA/. The Armenian government called a story in the Spanish outlet 'Periodista Digital', which alleges that Yerevan, Baku, and Washington have agreed to a memorandum on the so-called Zangezur Corridor, 'a manifestation of manipulative propaganda.' The story refers to the corridor as the "Trump Bridge."

"Some media outlets are referring to a July 22 story in the Spanish outlet as news, but it is actually another manifestation of hybrid warfare and manipulative propaganda. This disinformation was published on the dubious website 'Periodista Digital', which has been repeatedly criticized for using front men and disseminating manipulative and unsubstantiated materials," said the Armenian government's Information and Public Relations Department in a statement.

The statement notes that the story in question has nothing to do with reality.

"The Republic of Armenia's position on unblocking regional transport infrastructure is clearly stated in the Crossroads of Peace project. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke in detail about this issue at a press conference on July 16.

The Prime Minister's press secretary, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, also provided additional clarifications in an interview with the Armenpress news agency on July 21. Any information contradicting the above cannot be considered reliable," the department stated, calling on the media and public to refrain from spreading disinformation and to use only official, reliable sources.

On July 22, the 'Periodista Digital' wrote, citing a source in the Armenian diaspora in France, that the agreed document allegedly envisions implementing a 42-km-long transport corridor project that will pass through Armenia's Syunik region. A private American company will operate the corridor and deploy about 1,000 of its staff as guards and will receive 40% of the income, while Armenia will receive only 30%, the publication claims.-0-
