Armenian parliament speaker accepts resignation of MP Arsen Torosyan

YEREVAN, August 27. /ARКА/. The parliamentary powers of Arsen Torosyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party and the head of the Health Committee, have been officially terminated.
Torosyan submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the Parliament, Alen Simonyan, on August 20. Subsequently, on August 21, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Arsen Torosyan would be appointed as the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
"The parliamentary powers of MP Arsen Torosyan, who was elected from the proportional list of the Civil Contract party, have been terminated," the statement from the speaker indicates.
In accordance with the "Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly," the Speaker of the Parliament is required to make a statement if the applicant withdraws their resignation in writing within a week of submission. If the resignation is not withdrawn within that timeframe, a protocol regarding the termination of their powers is prepared, signed, and published by the speaker. The resignation is deemed accepted from the moment the protocol is published.-0-
