YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. The Armenian people are tired and want change, said Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP).

"Today, after observing citizen participation in the elections since 8 a.m., I can say that this has never happened before. The people want change. I voted for positive changes, so that people can live better, earn more, and be in high spirits," Tsarukyan told reporters after the vote.

He answered affirmatively to a question about whether the united opposition has a chance of defeating the government in the elections.

"Yes, they definitely do. We will win and we already are. We'll see who gets the most votes: they will nominate a candidate for prime minister," Tsarukyan said.

He emphasized that "if he is participating in these processes again, it's not because he needs to." "I don't need a position, recognition, or money; my soul simply aches when I see my nation in a difficult situation," Tsarukyan said.
