Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of the country's National Day.

YEREVAN, July 14. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of the country's National Day.

"This day, which is of great importance for the French people, is an excellent opportunity to once again emphasize the special role of France in strengthening and promoting the high universal values of freedom, equality and fraternity, as well as to reaffirm our common commitment to implementing them for the benefit of our citizens and states," the Armenian Prime Minister's congratulatory message to the French President, published by the press service of the Armenian government, reads.

Pashinyan stressed that the historical ties between Armenia and France, based on these universal values and the centuries-old friendship that unites the Armenian and French peoples, are of key importance in the development of our interstate relations.

"I would like to express my special gratitude to you for the special relations between our countries, as evidenced by the established close high-level political dialogue and effective cooperation in all areas of bilateral cooperation, which today, thanks to your unwavering commitment, have grown into a strategic partnership," he said.

The Armenian Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that cooperation between our two countries now covers such important areas as combating climate change, protecting biodiversity and artificial intelligence. "In this context, I would like to reaffirm Armenia's commitment to contribute to the efforts to counter these global challenges," Pashinyan noted.

He also praised the continued important support of friendly France and Macron's personal efforts aimed at establishing a just and lasting peace in the South Caucasus."

Pashinyan also noted that he expects Macron to organize a state visit to Armenia this year.
