Armenian prime minister briefs Turkish president on results of U.S. talks

YEREVAN, August 11. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone call today with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the press service of the Armenian government reported.
Pashinyan presented the results of the August 8 talks in Washington, D.C., to Erdogan. These results include the initialing of the "Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan," a joint appeal to the OSCE to dissolve the Minsk Group mechanisms, and the unblocking of regional communications based on territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction and reciprocity. Pashinyan also presented the "Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity" project.
Pashinyan noted that establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan creates an opportunity for a new level of regional cooperation.
They also discussed the issues on the Armenian-Turkish bilateral agenda, particularly the progress in implementing previously reached agreements. The prime minister noted that the atmosphere for implementing these agreements is now more favorable than ever. The interlocutors agreed to continue an active political dialogue. -0-
