YEREVAN, September 10. /ARКА/. Commenting on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's recent statement about the "Zangezur Corridor", Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said: "There is an objective reality, along with subjective perceptions. The objective reality is that Armenia and Azerbaijan once again recognized each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction and inviolability of borders in Washington. This means that communication channels can be established through the territory of Armenia, which is regulated by the decisions of the Republic of Armenia and the agreements reached," Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister noted that the document he signed testifies to the creation of an infrastructure known as TRIPP on the territory of Armenia.

"However, this is not the full picture. This document is also signed by the presidents of the United States and Azerbaijan. It explains what is meant by unblocking regional communications. The TRIPP project is a subject of discussion between Armenia and the United States. At the same time, communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan must be interconnected,” Pashinyan specified.

“There cannot be infrastructure designated as the “Zangezur Corridor” on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. However, I cannot rule out the possibility that, given the popularity of this name in Azerbaijan, that country may designate some infrastructure facilities on its territory in this way, including those that will be connected with the “Trump route.

” However, this has nothing to do with Armenia and the agreements reached,” Pashinyan concluded.

The seven-point declaration signed following the trilateral meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8 in Washington includes the initialing of the “Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan”, the joint application to the OSCE on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group mechanisms, the unblocking of regional communications within the framework of the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction of countries and on the basis of reciprocity, as well as the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” project.-0-
