YEREVAN, November 20. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared that he has mandated government agencies to address instances of tax overpayment by businesses.

"My directive to government agencies is clear: no taxpayer in the Republic of Armenia should have valid reasons to assert that the government or tax authorities have collected even a single extra luma (previously, a small denomination in Armenia - ed.) from them. This instruction is unequivocal. Additionally, there should be no mechanisms or practices that facilitate tax evasion in Armenia," Pashinyan emphasized during a briefing on Thursday.

He affirmed that the government "respects and honors all taxpayers."

"If it is determined that we have unjustly collected even one extra luma from an individual, we will always seek to recover those funds. -0-
