YEREVAN, October 27. /ARKA/. Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Nikol Pashinyan and Ali Asadov held a meeting in Mukhrani, near Georgian capital Tbilisi, which was facilitated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Tass news agency reported citing the press service of the Georgian government.

Pashinyan was in Georgia to participate in the Silk Road international conference. The details of the talks have not been disclosed. According to Georgian Imedi TV channel, the meeting of the three prime ministers lasted several hours.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said during a visit to Georgia in early October that he was ready to hold bilateral and trilateral meetings with representatives of Tbilisi and Yerevan in Georgia given the Armenian side's accord.

Georgia has acted as an intermediary in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In particular, Georgia mediated in June 2021 the repatriation of 15 Armenian servicemen from Azerbaijani captivity. In return Yerevan sent maps of minefields to Baku. Another example of mediation was the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, which took place in Tbilisi on July 16, 2022. -0
