YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA/. Armenian and Georgian Presidents Vahagn Khachaturyan and Salome Zurabishvili issued a joint statement for mass media following their meeting in the Georgian capital city Tbilisi on Monday, the press service of the Armenian President reported.

"We had quite a rich discussion on our bilateral cooperation agenda with the focus on such areas as transport, communications, information technology, humanitarian issues. In particular, we discussed issues related to infrastructure projects aimed at ensuring the participation in international transport and communication projects, such as the Persian Gulf International Transport Corridors," Khachaturyan was quoted as saying by the press service.

According to him, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the high level of multifaceted relations and enriching the cooperation agenda.

"Of course, during the meeting with Mrs. Zurabishvili, in addition to the bilateral agenda, we touched upon the security, political and regional issues. I want to stress that our mutual understanding on such issues is conditioned by the awareness of the Armenian-Georgian friendship, which is unbreakable. I am confident that the discussed issues will yield results and give a new quality and content to the Armenian-Georgian relations," Khachaturian said. -0-
