Armenian army forced to use weapons of large destructive power

From the early morning of September 29, the Azerbaijani side resumed large-scale attacks along almost the entire length of the defense line in Artsakh, Shushan Stepanyan, press secretary of the Armenian defense ministry, reported on her Facebook page. In particular, heavy artillery systems TOS-1A are used during offensive actions in certain directions.
“The use of TOS, Smerch and other large-caliber systems changes the logic and scale of military operations, bringing them to a new level. In this regard, the ministry of defense warns that the Armenian Armed Forces are forced to use types of weapons and military equipment that have large-scale fire damage and, as a result, have a large destructive impact on manpower, movable and immovable property,” she wrote on her page.
According to Stepanyan, at the moment the units of the Defense Army are confidently foiling the enemy’s all attempts to attack, causing heavy losses in manpower and equipment.
Situation in Artsakh
On September 27, at 07:10, Azerbaijani troops launched an offensive along the entire length of the contact line in Artsakh, but were thrown back in several directions. Intense fighting continues in the south, southeast and north of the front line.
The Azerbaijani side suffered losses in manpower (more than 700 people) and equipment, in particular, 49 UAVs, 4 helicopters, 80 armored vehicles, 1 aircraft, 82 armored vehicles were destroyed. According to the data of the defense departments of Armenia and Artsakh, 84 Armenian servicemen (including 48 soldiers of the Defense Army) were killed while repelling the aggression of Azerbaijani troops, about 100-120 people were injured.
The Armenian side informed the international community, including the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, about the aggression by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, also about the shelling of peaceful settlements.
