YEREVAN, May 9. /ARKA/. Deputy prime minister Vache Gabrielyan is perhaps the only current Cabinet member who is likely to have a position in the new government Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will form, the local daily Hraparak (Square) says in its today’s issue.
The daily says that Nikol Pashinyan is likely to appoint the loyalist Ararat Mirzoyan, now a member of Yelk parliamentary bloc, to the position of second vice-premier. The daily’s source says Pashinyan wants to remove the position of first deputy prime minister, but it can be done only after amending the Law on the Government.
The daily says also the new government will have also representatives of the Prosperous Armenia party of wealthy businessman Gagik Tsarukyan and Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun), which gave their support to Nikol Pashinyan-led anti-government protest. -0-
