Armenia's Defense Ministry has developed a new territorial and local defense concept, Minister Suren Papikyan said Wednesday, speaking at a government Q&A session in parliaments.

YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. Armenia's Defense Ministry has developed a new territorial and local defense concept, Minister Suren Papikyan said Wednesday, speaking at a government Q&A session in parliaments.

"The law on militia still exists today, but the Defense Ministry has recently developed a new concept of territorial and local defense. New legal acts will be developed, which will be discussed in parliament," the minister said.

According to Papikyan, the authorities are doing their best to train, integrate and localize reservists by holding trainings in the areas where they will have to defend the territorial integrity of their country, if necessary. -0-
