Armenian Embassy officially opened in Uruguay
YEREVAN, March 22. /ARKA/. On March 21, the official opening ceremony of the Armenian Embassy in Uruguay was held with the participation of Armenian and Uruguayan Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Omar Paganini.
In his speech, Mirzoyan noted that since 1992, when the two countries established diplomatic relations, they have managed to establish warm, friendly, partner relations and build political dialog at a very high level.
"At the same time, there is a clear understanding in the leadership of the two countries that it is time to deepen these relations, this partnership, build economic ties, cultural ties, develop people-to-people ties," he was quoted by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry as saying.
He also expressed gratitude for the fact that more than 100 years ago Uruguay gave shelter to the Armenians who fled the Armenian Genocide and Uruguay became a home for them. -0-
