Armenia’s ex-prime minister and deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan confirmed the rumors of his departure from the party, according to reports in local media. Abrahamyan is said to have filed a relevant application, but intends to remain in politics.

According to media stories, in recent days Abrahamyan was having meetings with the leadership of the party to flesh out his political future, but negotiations did not produce the ‘desired’ result, and he made the ‘fateful’ decision. Later, Abrahamyan confirmed these rumors. -0-
