Armenian Investigative Committee arrests Azerbaijani serviceman for attempted sabotage and murder

YEREVAN, February 29. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Investigative Committee said today that an Azerbaijani serviceman, identified as Ruslan Penakhov, who was detained by Armenian troops outside the border village of Tegh in the early hours on Wednesday has been arrested.
On Wednesday Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) said the Azerbaijani soldier armed with an assault rifle was “neutralized” by Armenian troops.
The Azerbaijani soldier reportedly crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact on February 28, at around 05:15.
The Azerbaijani soldier is accused of attempted sabotage, attempted murder motivated by national, religious hatred, intolerance and enmity. He is also accused of illegal carrying and transportation of firearms and ammunition as well as illegal crossing of the Armenian border. The circumstances of the case are being clarified. -0-
