Armenian parliament ratifies agreement on simplifying procedure for mutual recognition of official documents with Kazakhstan

YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. The Armenian Parliament has approved today the ratification of an agreement with Kazakhstan on simplifying the procedure for mutual recognition of official documents. The ratification was backed by 101 lawmakers.
Under the agreement, both sides recognize official documents confirming residence, issued by the authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia under the Convention between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Armenia on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion in relation to income and property taxes and the related Protocol dated November 6, 2006.
Deputy Chairman of Armenia's State Revenue Committee Ashot Muradyan said the agreement signed in 2018, provides that documents issued by the authorized bodies of Kazakhstan and confirmed by the official seal are accepted in Armenia without any additional certificates (including apostille and consular certification).
Similarly, documents issued by the authorized bodies of Armenia are accepted in Kazakhstan without additional certificates.
"This agreement was concluded for an unlimited period and remains in force until one of the parties terminates it," he said.
Muradyan noted that this agreement had passed all the processes of domestic ratification in Kazakhstan. He also recalled that at the moment Armenia has 47 such agreements with other countries. The Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev signed the law on the ratification of this agreement on March 30, 2020. --0--
