Armenian parliament speaker to attend EU gathering in Lithuania

Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan has left for Vilnius, Lithuania, to take part in the conference of heads of parliaments of the EU countries on April 7-8.

YEREVAN, April 7. / ARKA /. Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan has left for Vilnius, Lithuania, to take part in the conference of heads of parliaments of the EU countries on April 7-8.
The press office of Armenian parliament said heads of parliaments of several former Soviet republics involved in EU’s "Eastern Partnership" program have been invited to the gathering.
Abrahamyan will deliver a speech at the conference and also have some bilateral meetings with peers.
During a March 20 visit to Brussels, now ex-prime minister Tigran Sargsyan said that Armenia and the European Union may sign a new large political agreement. .-0-
