YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. The number of Armenian parliamentary committees will be reduced from the current 12 to 10, a local daily "Haykakan Zhamanak" (Armenian Time) says.
It says a relevant law will allow the new parliament to determine how many committees it needs. According to the daily, the plan to cut the number of parliamentary committees is prompted also by the fact that the next parliament will have les deputies than the current one- 101 instead of 131.
According to the newspaper, the parliamentary leadership will most likely abolish the committees on European integration and on human rights and public affairs, controlled now by the Prosperous Armenia party. -0-
