Armenian passport remains in force until 2021

The Armenian National Assembly passed Tuesday amendments to the law on identification cards and the law on the citizen’s passport. Armenian Deputy Police Chief Hovhannes Kocharyan said that the amendments propose to prolong the term of introduction of ID cards to 2021. Earlier, it was planned to complete the transition in 2019.

This means that domestic passports are in force until completion of the transition to ID cards.
