Armenian PM receives president of National Bank of Argentina

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received President of the National Bank of Argentina Carlos Melkonian on Wednesday, the press office of the Armenian government reports.
YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received President of the National Bank of Argentina Carlos Melkonian on Wednesday, the press office of the Armenian government reports.
“Welcoming the guest, the Premier said the traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and Argentina are developing dynamically, and efforts should be made to specifically activate bilateral trade and economic ties,” the press release says.
Hovik Abrahamyan noted that Armenia highly appreciates the achievements of our compatriots living abroad and thanked Melkonian for his activities in favor of all Armenians.
“Thanking the premier for high appreciation, the President of the National Bank of Argentina said he was glad to visit Homeland and deserve a warm welcome, the press release says. “Mr Melkonyan noted that highly respected in the host country, the vigorous and numerous Armenian community of Argentina plays an important role in the cause of strengthening and developing Armenian-Argentinean relations.”
The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in the banking and financial sectors. Carlos Melkonyan said he has been impressed by Armenia’s policy toward ensuring economic stability. In this context, the Abrahamyan and Melkonian stressed the importance of sharing knowledge and providing mutual support.
The sides exchanged views on Armenia’s economic development, the process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues of mutual interest. ---0----
