Armenian premier appoints new deputy energy minister

Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, appointed Tuesday Hayk Harutyunyan as deputy energy infrastructures and natural resources minister, the government’s press office reports.
YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, appointed Tuesday Hayk Harutyunyan as deputy energy infrastructures and natural resources minister, the government’s press office reports.
Before this appointment Harutyunyan was the chief of the ministry’s division in charge of investment programs and capital spending.
On January 11, Karen Karapetyan dismissed two deputies – Areg Galstyan and Iosif Isayan. Both have worked in energy system over more than 20 years.
Harutyunyan, born in 1978, has graduated from the State Engineering University of Armenia. He is PhD in Engineering. Later, he also received a master degree in energy enterprises management from the same university.
Harutyunyan began his career in 1998 as a technical engineer at Armtunnel CJSC and in 2002 he started working at the energy ministry on different positions. Married. Father of three. --0---
