YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Wednesday Artsakh National Assembly Homeland faction members, headed by Free Homeland party leader Arayik Haroutunyan, the press office of the Armenian government reports.

Highlighting the meetings held in that format, the premier advised that meetings with Artsakh’s parliamentary factions will be held on a regular basis. “This is a good opportunity to sum up the developments in the relations with Artsakh we saw during the past one and a half years," he said. "I would like to talk about the financial-economic sector. First of all, I mean the restructuring of the interstate loan provided to Artsakh. A relevant arrangement was made when Mr. Haroutunyan was state minister in Artsakh. This important decision is being implemented de facto. The two governments have made a political decision that these funds had better be circulated in the Republic of Artsakh.”

Nikol Pashinyan also referred to another important decision passed by the Armenian government, under which AMD 2.1 billion shall be earmarked to implement major upgrades in the frontline area and improve servicemen’s living conditions, in general.

“A draft decision on allocation of 2.9 billion drams with a view to tackling the housing needs of servicemen in Artsakh is being circulated at this point of time,” the he said, noting that a decision has also been made to acquire 10 ambulance vehicles for Artsakh.

According to the Armenian government's press office, Nikol Pashinyan and Arayik Haroutunyan discussed issues related to cooperation between the governments and parliaments of the two Armenian states, focusing on economic partnership and per-sector development prospects.

Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process and the ongoing army-building efforts. Thankful for the reception, Arayik Haroutunyan introduced his political party’s planned activities. -0---
