Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to People’s Artist of Russia and Ukraine, artistic director of Mariinsky Theatre and conductor of London Symphonic orchestra Valery Georgiev on his 60th anniversary, the presidential press office reported.

YEREVAN, May 2. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to People’s Artist of Russia and Ukraine, artistic director of Mariinsky Theatre and conductor of London Symphonic orchestra Valery Georgiev on his 60th anniversary, the presidential press office reported.

The president said Georgiev’s creative work is warm, heartfelt and humane. Sargsyan stressed the importance of international projects initiated by the conductor.

Sargsyan also pointed out the musician’s contribution to humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Armenia and Russia.

Armenian president wished Georgiev further success in all his initiatives and projects.

Georgiev was the conductor of the State Symphonic Orchestra of Armenia in 1981-1985.–0--
