Armenian president dismisses ambassador to Iran

At the suggestion of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian dismissed Artashes Tumanyan from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. At the suggestion of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian dismissed Artashes Tumanyan from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The decree was signed on October 8. Artashes Tumanyan served as the Armenian Ambassador to Iran since February 2015. Before that he was a member of parliament, deputy minister of foreign affairs.
In 2000-2006, he served as head of the administration of ex-president Robert Kocharyan. -0-
