YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed today a decree to dismiss a deputy chief of the staff of the armed forces Karen Abrahamyan, who was in charge of the Main Operations Directorate.

According to the presidential press service, Armen Sarkissian signed the decree on the basis of the proposal of the Prime Minister in accordance with the Constitution and the Law on Military Service and the Status of Serviceman.

Karen Abrahamyan was appointed Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces by the presidential decree of June 15, 2020. Prior to that, in 2018-2020, he served as the Minister of Defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. --0--
