Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has dismissed today a number of senior defense ministry officers, his press service reported today.
YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has dismissed today a number of senior defense ministry officers, his press service reported today.
It said the president has signed decrees to relieve of their posts deputy defense minister Alik Mirzabekyan, who was in charge of logistics department, the chief of intelligence department of the Main Staff of the Armed Forces Arshak Karapetyan and the head of the communications and automatic control systems department Komitas Muradyan.
According to some experts, these high-profile resignations may be linked to the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone in the aftermath of an unprecedented offensive unleashed by Azerbaijan against Karabakh defense army since 1994 truce. -0-
