YEREVAN, February 20. /ARKA/. Armenian president-elect Serzh Sargsyan is ready to meet with leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian, who placed second in the race, any time convenient to him, spokesman of the president Armen Arzumanyan said.

Raffi Hovannisian disputes the official outcome of the February 18 election. He told a press conference Tuesday he was ready to meet with Sargsyan either in public or tet-a-tet, for discussing the “transfer of power”.

The spokesman said president Sargsyan has always been willing to meet leaders of all political forces when needed.

“There can be no exception, especially when the matter concerns a politician who was the second in the presidential election”, Arzumanyan said.
The spokesman stressed that all international observation missions have evaluated the 2013 presidential election as the best in the history of independent Armenia.

According to the preliminary ballot count results from all 1,988 polling stations Armenia’s incumbent president Sezrh Sargsyan won the re-election Monday with 861,378 votes or 58.64%. Raffi Hovannisian polled 36.74% or 539,674 votes. –0--
