YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed on Tuesday a number of decrees on appointments in the Armed Forces.

According to a statement on the presidential website, Nver Martirosyan was appointed chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and Albert Baghdadyan was appointed First Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Also, Armen Arushanyan was appointed head of the Engineering Troops Department of the Armed Forces, and Garik Movsesyan was appointed head of the Air Defense Troops of the Armed Forces. -0-
