On Thursday, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree on the appointment of Eduard Martirosyan as acting director of the National Security Service (NSS).

YEREVAN, September 19. /ARКА/. On Thursday, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree on the appointment of Eduard Martirosyan as acting director of the National Security Service (NSS).
Before this appointment Eduard Martirosyan served as deputy director of the security agency. He has replaced Arthur Vanetsyan, who resigned on September 16.
By another decree the president appointed Arman Sargsyan as acting chief of Police. He has replaced Valery Osipyan, who resigned on September 18.
