Armenian prime minister dismisses and appoints officials

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan dismissed today Ishkhan Karapetyan as head of the state food safety agency affiliated to the agriculture ministry.
YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan dismissed today Ishkhan Karapetyan as head of the state food safety agency affiliated to the agriculture ministry.
He appointed Hayk Sargsyan, Tigran Urikhanyan and Albert Gambaryan as deputy chiefs of the State Control Service of Armenia.
Pashinyan also appointed Makar Gambaryan and Gabriel Balayan as deputies to the defense minister.
Enriko Apriamov was dismissed as acting deputy emergency minister, Robert Harutyunyan as acting deputy foreign minister and Arthur Poghosyan as acting deputy culture minister.
Robert Rubinyan was appointed as deputy foreign minister, Nazeni Gharibyan as deputy culture minister, Gurgen Avagyan as acting deputy head of the agriculture ministry’s staff and Hovhannes Yemishyan as acting head of the Armenian emergency ministry’s rescue service.
On April 23, Serzh Sargsyan, who was appointed by the Armenian parliament as prime minister amid widespread disaffection for him, resigned under the pressure of mass protests against his premiership. On the same day, Armen Sarkissian, Armenian president accepted the government’s resignation.
On May 8, the National Assembly elected Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister by a majority of votes - 59 MPs voted for him and 42 voted against him. --0---
